Dear Friends & Clients –
We look forward to welcoming you into our shops again soon! Multnomah County’s Phase 1 Reopening is now tentatively scheduled for FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2020. Your safety is our top priority, and we have implemented all State health guidelines to ensure best practices when it comes to sanitization, disinfection, PPE, and contact with our clients. As we approach reopening, please familiarize yourself with the following changes and procedures:
6 Feet of Space Between Chairs
We have reconfigured the chairs in the shops to provide 6 feet of space between clients.
Masks Required
Masks are required at all times when in the shop; no exceptions will be granted. A mask can be purchased for $1 when available.
Facial Services Temporarily Suspended
As we figure out the new normal, we are temporarily suspending all facial services except for the quick beard trim. We will resume shaves and full beard services once we have determined the best way to provide the appropriate protection to both clients and barbers, as well as maintain guidelines put in place by the State.
By Appointment Only
Clients requesting walk-in services will be asked to make an appointment, and to then return to the shop for services at the time of their scheduled appointment.
Waiting Area Limitations
Our waiting area is currently closed to all, with the exception of parents of young children and direct caregivers. All other individuals are asked to wait outside or in their vehicles.
Wait Outside for Your Appointment
Please wait in your vehicle or outside the shop until your barber calls you for the start of your appointment. If waiting outside, we request you maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other clients who may be waiting. We will use the phone number you provided at the time of booking. During the call, you will be asked the following questions required by the State:
Have you had a new or worsening cough?
Have you had a fever?
Have you had shortness of breath?
Have you been in close contact with anyone with these symptoms or anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
Please answer these questions truthfully. For the safety of our clients and barbers, and for compliance with State guidelines, we will not be able to perform services on individuals who answer yes to these questions or who exhibit symptoms consistent with COVID-19.
Hand Washing Required
Upon entering the shop, clients will be required to wash their hands prior to services being performed.
Restrooms for Hand Washing Only
To help keep the shops sanitized, our restrooms will be limited to hand washing only.
Please Limit Touch
We ask clients to try their best to avoid touching surfaces in the shop, except the barber chair and front door if necessary.
Drink Service Discontinued
We will be discontinuing drink service for the time being, based on State regulations.
The continued success of Heritage Barbershop relies on cooperation from both barbers and our clients to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and meet State requirements for operating a barbershop. We greatly appreciate everyone’s efforts as we navigate these new circumstances. Most of all, we are looking forward to being back at work and providing services to our valued clients.
